If
you are any kind of a hiker, on this outing you can not only enjoy the
verdant woods of the Shenandoah, but also see four out of the six
waterfalls and cascades in four hours or so. My son-in-law and I
did not have time to take the 8.2 mile circuit, listed as very
strenuous. We did hike the Whiteoak Canyon Trail down to the
upper and lower falls then came back the same way. A ranger
estimated it to have been about six miles round trip.
Here are a few pictures to tantalize and draw you into this excursion.

Mike couldn't resist taking a dip in the icy water.

The glory of the Lord fills the whole earth." Numbers 14:21

It is just over a mile to the falls and back.

3 mile Lewis Falls Trail is just
across from Dark Hollow. A great hike.
