Lewis Falls Trail is a
very nice 3.3 mile hike plus you will be rewarded
with an 81 foot falls. Park in a small area just a stones throw
south of
the Byrd Visitor Center on the west side of the road. This hike
is poorly marked. You will begin on a gravel road. About a
half mile down this road we turned right onto the AT section, thus
leaving the falls for the end.

My son-in-law and I did this short hike and found it to be very
satisfying. We made this
hike just after doing the Dark Hollow Trail with the family.
Both highly recommended.

It is just over a mile to the falls and back.
See what Thomas Jefferson saw.
